Never received the kit!

Ordered the Bourbon Barrel Style Red Blend kit and received a Chardonnay kit. Contacted Midwest and they apologized and said they would send me the correct kit. Didn’t get a confirmation email so reached out again and they said my kit was unavailable! Horrible customer service!

Just finished primary fermentation... we'll see

First off, I agree with most here, why not include the fricken directions? Geez that must cost them all of about 6 cents to include that. Now unto the maple additive... which to my nose is strong but it also smells like bourbon or whiskey so yeah its supposed to be in there. After reading reviews I added about a half of one packet... I would rather be a bit underwhelmed on this than overwhelmed - esp since I like dry - not sweet. I'll update in about 6 months or so since I bulk age my wines for at least 6 months, then I try a sample if happy I bottle.

Too early to tell, but I will say the finishing packets smell incredible and they are not even opened yet! Its potent! I may only use one at first.

Bourbon Barrel style wine

First of all, no instructions came with my kit. I was referred to the company's web site. Their Vague instructions didn't help much. They had me adding the extremely sweet bourbon blend after the clarification process which made the wine extremely sweet which I cannot drink. If professional instruction are given this has the potential of our being a great wine. Horrible if you follow their instructions.

What idiot decided not enclose written instructions in your wine kits ?
